Radiance class
Royal Caribbean · 4 ships · all charted
9 rules hold across all 4 hulls, and 3 things do not. The exceptions are the reason not to quote a sister ship from memory.
None of this is written down anywhere. It is computed by comparing the 4 ship records field by field, so a class rule cannot drift from the hulls that carry it — add an exception to a ship and it appears here on the next build.
Where the hulls differ
The part that does not transfer. Everything here is one ship's, not the class's.
Every hull answers, differently
Obstructed viewsdiffers by ship
Two mechanisms here and they call for opposite advice. The first is the deck 7 lifeboat roof on the indented sections — it takes the downward view and leaves the horizon, so it's a disclosure, not a veto. The second is genuinely blocking and it's specific: 9252 and 9652 are obstructed by the ship's window-washing platform, and that pair holds across all four hulls, which is unusual enough to be worth knowing by cabin number. Structural obstructions are the ship-specific part.
- Radiance of the Seas
- On this ship 7170 and 7670 are identified as partially blocked by the ship's own structure.
- Brilliance of the Seas
- On this ship 7170 and 7670 come up as partially blocked by structure, and the published list here runs longer than Radiance's — so read the whole plan rather than assuming it's the same two.
- Serenade of the Seas
- The structural pair documented on Radiance isn't established for this hull. Read this ship's own plan rather than inheriting Radiance's numbers.
- Jewel of the Seas
- The 7170 and 7670 pair that's documented on Radiance does NOT cleanly reproduce on this ship — sources here name different cabins. Don't transfer them; read this hull's own plan.
A much broader claim circulates that a long run of deck 7 cabins is lifeboat-obstructed; it comes from a low-quality source and it confuses the roof issue with a blocked horizon, so read the current plan rather than believing it.
Carried by some hulls and not others
Neither a class rule nor one ship's footnote. These are the ones most likely to be assumed across a class that does not carry them.
3 of 4 hullsCategory notes
Ask about the hump cabins rather than avoiding them. These sit on the outward bulge of the hull, which is where the deck 7 lifeboat-roof problem disappears and where the angled position gives better views both down and along the side of the ship. One thing not to promise: the balcony isn't necessarily bigger. Reports show hump cabins with ordinary-size balconies and excellent view geometry, which are different things. The specific hump cabin numbers for this hull need reading off its own plan — don't inherit another ship's.

On this ship the hump cabins that come up by name are 7596 to 7606 — that's researched rather than confirmed, so read it off the plan before you promise a specific number.
Class geometry
A deck stack counts as the class's only when every hull carries the same one. A single ship differing makes it that ship's data, not the class's.

- DECK 10 Cabins below, public space directly above. Check what's overhead on the specific room.
- DECK 9 Cabins above and cabins below, nothing public sharing the deck. Passes the sandwich test.
- DECK 8 Cabins above and cabins below, nothing public sharing the deck. Passes the sandwich test.
- DECK 7 Cabins above, public space directly below. Check what's underneath on the specific room.
- DECK 4 Cabins below, public space directly above. Check what's overhead on the specific room.
- DECK 3 Cabins above and cabins below, nothing public sharing the deck. Passes the sandwich test.
- DECK 2 Can't call this one — the stack on file doesn't record what sits below it. Not a problem found; a gap.

Each ship page carries its own exceptions in context, alongside the shared rules they sit inside.
Sources are recorded per ship, not per class. Each hull's page carries what its calls were checked against and when.
